First, wishing all my Skoolie friends a very safe and happy New Year.

Been working the last day or so on some lighting stuff. BC has conventional RV lights along the sides, but I like the warmer atmosphere of the indirect lighting and not having the lights hit you right in the eye, so I tried building something different.

Got some LED light strips at the automotive store and put them above and below a mounting strip. For now, just built a plain cover until I decide on a cover that I like...eventually it will be something different, just haven't decided on what design yet, but wanted to try it out. Positioned them a little higher than center mount on the wall so more of the lighting would shine down on the chair for reading.

Really liked the way the lighting shines on the roof and below, and it matches the lights I put in around the bar area. Here are a few pics:

I also installed some blue lights inside the bumpers for a different kind of outdoor lighting at night...really looks cool when very dark and shines on the front end of the bus.

Thank you much!

Already a design change (I'm bad about that) The fixture was just too dull, so worked today making some changes. I cut out a the light facing and glued some plexiglass behind it. Painted one side of the glass so as not to have lights shinning in the eyes. Then added some wood strips for a nicer look. Much prefer this design.

Cool now to take that design and soften up the ends with a couple or 1 big radius, its to sq for a curvy crown

Finished building the other new light fixtures today for BC. Have 3 in the living room area and wanted them all to be the same. Sorry Bansil, but they are still all square at this point.

Got the front two working, gotta wait for another payday to buy the light strips for the third one.

Leaving all the kitchen lighting with the boring conventional RV type fixtures.

Have a meeting next weekend in Sacramento, so that will be the first time in almost two months I have been able to get BC out on the road...ready to hear that Detroit roar

When I moved my couch over to the other side of the bus, I left the seatback from the old dinette between the couch and the kitchen area. It stuck out into the hall, which was ok, but unnecessary and made it crowded.

So today I got out the saw and cut it back. Opened up the space and makes it easier to walk into the galley area or the bathroom.
