Frame work welded in , ready for some skin.
Of course Murphy jumped in and added his $.02 The space between the back of the window bar at the rear and the front of the front one is 10'2" and my material is 10". I guess I put the 1/4" lip on the back and then use a window divider metal on the front with the rear lip bent flat.

At the base of the E door they had cut out a channel that is about 2" x 2" and is open to the wheel well at the front of the back wheel. Spinning wheel just filled that cavity with dirt, will need to patch that hole.

E-Door Interlock
So I went to decipher the E-Door interlocking mechanism. I found there are 3 wires and one yellow that go to a micro switch on the locking slide bolt, and the push button switch on the opening handle. Being as the 3 pinks were the same color I assume they tied in together. I marked each with a dot sequence 1 dot, 2 dots, 3 dots. Cut all 3 and got lucky connecting my 1 dot and the yellow and it enables the start system. I was able to trace them back to get them out of that area all together.

I would love to have run the lighting wires out the side of the door into the body, but afraid they would, through time, get pinched and possible break. So I'll run a grommet in the door handle hole and loop them back into the wall.

I hate that the site won't fix the sideways pic deal, it's really annoying.

Ran a bunch of errands today so didn't get much done. Bought the sheet metal to complete the sides. Didn't get a chance to cut them

This has got to be the easiest piece of security mind you can install. Took about 20 minutes to install. I decided to run the latch on the back side of the bar just to keep it out of the way. Lock was only $10.

I couldn't really find a build thread for "sportricks" and couldn't find a thread that sounded like what you were referencing.

2nd oldest page of what thread? I found the barn door deal when he referred me there 2 weeks ago and a discussion ensued after. My current topic was on solar and so was looking for something about the solar rack on "sportyricks" and couldn't find anything. Quoting replies by number would help.

I took it as a reference to access for opening up the back of the bus for access

It was, he was telling me they had removed the whole back end including the back end of the cap and filled the hole with one giant door.He was telling me how much easier that would have been, but I saw much more involved in his than mine and his work only gave him another couple of inches of headroom that would be nice to have .but not necessary. In actuality, my rear door mod was something in my mind before ever purchasing a bus. This first set was a bit trying because some of what was done was new to me. To do what I've done so far would only take a few days to replicate now that I ve done it once. I bet a lot of people when I'm done won't know the double doors are custom. I like his barn door, just not the look I was going for.
