The joys of being owned by cats...

Hey, be glad they didn't jump up onto the pick up!

I'm wondering if its too thick as well. . . Not enough coverage + excessive cure time = too thick application.

Dunno. Thickish at the margins, but reasonably scrimmed for the area's majority.

Wonder if humidity affects it as it does other adhesives. Hang on,

I GOT IT!!!

You're using the wrong Catalysts...

what is the temperature on the floor of your bus? - should say on the label what temp is required for it to harden properly

It called for an 1/8" towel, that's what I used. When I got back tonight it had finally dried clear, almost 24 hours. Temperature was ambient 70's, well within specs.

Finally Scored Some Lockers

Checked CL again for Lockers. Normally a 3' section goes for $200-$275. I didn't want to pay that much for retired lockers. Happened upon an ad for lockers, $30-1' section, 3 fpr $90. Would you take $100 for 4 of them, sure.
I may shorten them to 12" deep and cut the ceiling profile in the top. Depending on how much room they take, I mat have 2 on each side or 3 on one side. Handy for tool storage and general storage that is lockable.

4 cats, haven't checked to see which one is the culprit, although I have a good idea. None them have adhesive on their paws that I can see, but I haven't really looked.

so I went to play with some PEX today to get ready for the install. Immediately found I have the wrong crimpers, didn't realize there were 2 different kinds of crimp rings, crimp and pinch. I have the pinch crimper and need the ring crimper. Of course the ones I need are twice the price.

Stopped by and picked up 8' of 4/0 cable and some lugs. The 4/0 lugs have a 5/8" hole in it. The 1/0-2/0 lugs fit the 4/0 cable perfectly, but have a 1/2" hole in them. I saw a video on YouTube on how to make and install cable lugs. 2 things I learned there, how to make my own and how to solder the ends so it doesn't wick into the shielded wire. It also showed 3 different tools for crimping anf I find there is almost no difference in quality of crimp whether with a hammer wedge, plyer, or expensive crimpers.

So I call Extreme Diesel Friday to get a road service out here to help me get this thing running. She said it wouldn't be that day, they are busy, they'll call me when they can get it in line. I call back today 5 business days later and she tells me it'll be about a week and a half before they can get out here. I'm glad I'm not stuck on the side of the road. At least they must be making money to stay that backed up.
Place is 5 miles from me.

That was a trial fit, there's a 3 gang going there, or if room permits, 2 on each side of the garage. I'm kicking my self now as they had 4 more lockers. I took 4 for $100, could have had all 8 for $150. As expensive as they are around here I should go get the others, 50 miles away.

Well don't that just suck. I just checked availability of my license plate BCKTLST, it is unavailable. Someone beat me to it. I can still letter the front, but I wanted that tag also. When I was racing I had a novelty vanity tag on the race car that said RACECAR. The trailer was registered with the tag TRAILER, and the Chevy G30 Van was registered with TOWVAN. Now I have to come up with something more witty. I didn't really have a 2nd choice in mind.

Feels good every day there is progress.
While I was working on that my Eccotemp L5 showed up from Home Depot, why they required picture ID for delivery stumps me. Also my 3 solar panels showed up, I now have 6.

Worked on the floor heat some today. Got pretty warm in there today.

Any tricks for making a coil of PEX straight? I had exactly enough transfer plates.
