Looks like progress picked up already. Any progress, except backwards, is good progress. I got some more rivets installed over the weekend.

Had my friends son drop by to help me drop the last 10' piece of sheet metal I couldn't handle myself. When it stops raining I'll go out and jack them up and secure the 2 pieces, mount the last 2 windows. It's been pouring like crazy here and I'm glad to notice there are no leaks,

Nice progress!! [soapbox]Grumble grumble, I wish there were more mitered windows out there. I hate the curved RV windows.[/soapbox] For new windows, they are the same price at least at the one place I found that makes mitered windows.

Sorry if this is a silly question, but how is that floor heating set up? Are those copper pipes connected to the regular onboard heater lines?

Good question.

Marc,

If I recall, you have a diesel coolant heater to run your radiant heat. Are you going to plumb into the bus cooling system as well? If so, have you worked out the valve setup?

I am planning to but have not gotten to the particulars of controlling it.

What copper pipes are you referring to? The diesel heater was for a cabin air heater. I have a L5 heater for the floor and an L10 for the shower and sink. Haven't gotten that far yet, can make changes. Plumbing will come after the electric gets roughed in

Got the trailer harness plug cut in. Also got the "U" joint on the inside heater lines pulled and relocated under the outside. Turned out to be way simpler than I expected, yet I still dumped a half gallon of antifreeze right in my lap as I sat on the ground under the bus to cut the line. Murphy.s Law, When you really need your hose cutters to cut in one swipe, it will hang up and take at least 3-4 times so that it dumps the appropriate amount of fluid all over everything. Never fails.

Got the muffler delete ready for if and when I do it. I picked the pipe up and set it on end and heard noise inside, tapped the end on the ground and half the inside of the pipe fell out in a pile. Wait, not so fast, just noticed where the clamp was in the center has rusted almost through and an 1/8" hole popped in the side. But wait, when I ordered the 4" clamps, one of them came with a stud instead of a bolt. I asked the seller to send me a correct bolt. Instead he sent me whole new clamp. I can use the spare one to cover the hole in the pipe. Cost just over $40 in parts.

It looked like copper pipes or tubing on the floor. Looked closer and apparently they are some kind of rubber hose that will heat the floor.

I'll have to look into that. A couple of years ago we drove from here to Florida in the middle of an incoming blizzard, towing a camper with my FJ Cruiser. We stopped somewhere in TX and it was in the low teens. Woke up around 1AM in pain because the propane ran out, and the first thing I noticed was an icicle hanging from the faucet. We had to get up and start driving to keep warm. EVERYTHING froze! Don't want to suffer that nightmare again.

1/2" PEX tubing. Go further back in my build and see the installation

Decided to carpet the bunk walls with the thin cheap carpet from H-D. I think it makes a huge difference and I like it better than if they were painted white. I'll probably do the back side of the bunk walls also.

Looks good! Probably a plus in sound proofing as well.

Looks good! I was going to ask about sound proofing improvement, but Joe beat me to it!

Definite sound deadener, softens the interior right away.
