The bus with no name...

EGAD!

After several years of applying to the forum, magically, my address was accepted. I have no idea why, but I'm glad to finally have been accepted. All those years of Skoolie forum rejection really put the screws on my shrink.

Anyway, I will have some images soon. In the meantime an introduction:

To the best of my current knowledge, she's a 1999 Thomas Saf-T-Liner hailing from North Carolina school districts carrying a cat 3126 and an md3060. As of right now, my wife and I cannot decide on a a name, so until that time comes, I will refer to her as the bus with no name. (incoming song parody).

I Look forward to sharing my trials and tribulations with everyone here. I have been silently watching for so long I feel like a stalker. But now, my wife and I can share our bus with everyone, and hopefully extract some knowledge from the experience to be found here.

Re: The bus with no name...

Welcome!
Picking a name is fine-but don't lose any sleep over it. Because what I've learned is:
Even if your bus has a name, it won't come when you call it.
And unless you have more than one-you will still be refering to it as "the bus." As in : I was working on THE BUS. or "I can't find my glasses" "Did you check THE BUS?"

Re: The bus with no name...

Welcome to the joys of skoolie conversion. It can quickly become a passion. I was crazy and bought a second Crown bus (the new one is a three axle 40'). So my 1988 Crown with the two axles is no longer called "The Bus", but is now called Lucy, and the big tandem Crown is called Ricky. We thought the names were appropriate. The smaller Crown (Lucy) with the more delicate Detroit 6-71 turbo, and the big hulking tandem Crown (Ricky) with the massive Cummins 855 turbo.

We look forward to pictures, pictures, pictures.

Re: The bus with no name...

It took many tries to get registered for me, as well.

That's funny, bansil, we just watched it again for the first time in years. Classic.

Re: The bus with no name...

Ha. Thanks for the welcoming.

Apparently, the camera on my phone takes pictures just barely over 2mb. Forcing me to resize them to post. haha. Anyone know of a good batching software for downsizing loads of pictures at once?

I will be adding them as I have time. As of right now though. I'm working full time, trying to start up a business, working on this bus, and trying to find time for everything else, like sleep. oh how I miss sleep.

This is what I had to give up to get it... not all of it, but most of it.
