Pre-Project Discussion Thread
• Biodiesel, Yes or No?
As a Taco Truck, the Grinning Dragon is going to have fry oil onhand at all times, as well as contact with local producers of various food products/byproducts. This is however a best case scenario, and my mechanical skills aren't up to snuff yet, so repairs would become more problematic.
• Is a double-decker a viable option?
A double-decker is MUCH harder to come by, making this more pipe dream than anything else. Having the grow beds on the upper level gives them increased access to light, more floor space on the lower level, and more freedom in placing the fish tanks on the lower level, instead of having them bound to the same area as the grow beds.
• What kind of fish?
Tilapia, Salmon, shellfish, and more are all on the table here. I'm intending for this to be a sterile freshwater system so parasites aren't a problem. Instead, hardiness is the largest concern.
