Re: The Journey Visvi 1999 Thomas MVP ER

It worked, Yeah!!

I got the rest of the steel that is in the way removed.

Got a new piece of cardboard and glued molding to help keep it straight.

Marked a straight line on the roof to line everything up to.

The molding keeps the cardboard nice and straight.

I used a compass to mark and cut the curve in the cardboard.

But it still does not match the roof. I angled one side and it lined up perfect, at least for a bus perfect.

I decided to score the center and cut the molding and bend the cardboard at the center.

I was able to use the old side piece as a template for the new. the new side piece is just 3/4 inch longer.

Drivers side done.

The window fit with no gaps

I looked at getting one, but the Scenicruser guys are buying them all up. They hate it when someone turn them into an RV. They bought converted Scenicruser and restoring them back to original.

Watching this with great interest. Looks like you've got a good plan there.

Are those things that run down the length of the roof like stringers? I've never seen that before.

Are you talking these thingys?

The roof on a Thomas is three sheets of steel. Where the are riveted together, those are on top. They also add stiffness.

Re: The Journey Visvi 1999 Thomas MVP ER

Didn't get anything done on the bus yesterday. I hoping to get most of the front done this weekend. I forgot that I had a charity bike ride on Saturday. After we finished my friend Wendell took a back road to show me a little known Elk farm.

Wendell and the Elk.

Someone has been playing in the hay bails.

Rest of the herd.
