The Magnificent Contradiction '91 Thomas Conversion

Here's my official bus conversion pictorial.

The 5 am rendezvous to pick up the bus

She was a very dirty girl

And was fated to be towed the 90 miles between where I bought her and where I am storing her

Prior to seat removal

Action shots

Seats start coming out

I found an army of carpenter ants under the back seats.

More to come.

Welcome

Great pics.

Good bus platform.

What you got for a transmission?

Those ants like wood too. Don't make the mistake of using wood for anything other than facings for cabinets, ect. No wood in the floor for sure.

Any thoughts of a roof raise?

Keep the pics coming.

My latest build.

My only suggestion is for eye protection for anyone operating a grinder. Especially pretty young ladies.

I've had to perform emergency eye surgery on myself with an Exacto knife thanks to a tiny piece of ferrous metal going where I didn't want it to. It is not fun.

I plan to use some kind of waterproof vinyl or something similar. Dont you kinda have to use wood for the subfloor? I dunno what else I could easily cut.

Me and my girlfriend are both vertically challenged, so probably not.

We wore glasses, they are just clear and thus difficult to see. That's what you get for $3.97. I had the pleasure of drawing first blood with the angle grinder, nicked my finger turning it on.

I also have an unrelated question, I have this lever on my console that says "Ether." What is this about?

Probably starting fluid (aka Ether) for help with hard/cold starts

And eye pro is good. I've been lucky, but then I also wear glasses as well as eye pro.
