The Menagerie Life

Greetings!

I have looked at other builds for months. We finally decided to pull the trigger on a bus. My wife and I travel all summer with our 2 kids, dogs, and horses competing in trail competitions, and have out grown our camper. We wanted something bigger and still have enough power to tow a horse trailer. So here it is, 1995 International with a Genesis body.

Brought her home on Monday Oct 31st in the afternoon. By today I have all seats out, and sub floor removed.

I would upload some pictures but first I have to figure out how to resize them so they are small enough. I am good at many things, but computer software is isn't really one of them.

Create a Photobucket account if you don't already have one, upload your pics to there (as-is) and link them from here using the link image function. Resizing is automatic, and also gives the option to view full size.

As a level 1 burglar, Bilbo got a pony when he accompanied the level 60 dwarves on the Smaug the Dragon raid. Those powerlevelers probably invited him solely so he could trigger fellowship attacks for them.

Nice bus.. that DT-466 should do nicely with a trailer esp if you have an MT-643 transmission.. if you have an AT545 you will want to add a transmission cooler for sure.

Awesome! Include some pictures of the horses.

Also - I'm sure you've done your homework on insurance but I wanted to note that our insurance provider specified that we can not be insured if we plan on pulling a trailer with our bus.

Apparently I am still having trouble posting pictures. I worked on some of the electrical system today. almost had a fire when a wire for the passenger side windshield wiper switch grounded out against the body. That smoke was SCARY! Got that fixed and started working on getting the flasher wiring identified so it can be removed. Also got the ignition interlock issue figured out. Im still working on getting pics posted for your guys!

I don't know what to do about pictures. I am posting through photo bucket and they are still not displaying.

I started removing the wiring for the flashers today. Got the electric panel cleaned up quite a bit. I also figured out how to bypass the ignition interlock in the electric panel instead of doing it at the doors.

Bansil has a nice write-up for photobucket there. Photobucket's interface has changed somewhat since that post was written, but the process of getting the URL there is still similar, and the process of entering it here on skoolie.net is still the same.
