I got my batteries back and had them tested before I left the shop. Here's what I got:

My question is, with the CCA's measured that much lower than they are rated should I just go ahead and replace them even with the voltage being so much better than before? I still haven't done a load test but will once I get the tester.

BTW that is not a "before-and-after" shot, that is showing one post-charge test for each of my two batteries...I wanted the baseline.

Started removing the external decals and test painting as I prep her for insurance and titling inspection. This rubber remover disc was simply awesome, made a mess but it was so easy to remove the stickers.

The paint, which was supposed to be a red brick color looks way too pink for our liking. I'll use the gallon up as a base layer but need a better color for sure.

Neighborhood kid helping:

After stickers were removed on one side, also showing the test paint:

PART of the mess it makes, part of it...

That just looks like the rudy brown primer, but on the other hand I'm pretty much colorblind.

I think you probably need to have that arm looked at.

Nice work on that heater. Did you retrieve any vintage gum?

I like that method of decal removal. Its the easiest and most fun. How I got rid of mine.

Great job, and I like the color. Looks like "red oxide".

Always hard to judge colors on a computer, but from what I see, I think you are right. It does have a kinda "Pink Submarine" look to it.

Yeah, that color is a little too pink, if you get my meaning. It's not THAT kind of bus, not that there's anything wrong with it!

Robin97396: What heater do you mean?

I thought that was you cleaning and painting that defroster unit in the dashboard? Maybe I'm getting my threads crossed.
