Great work as always! The wood is beautiful and the finished counter tops are beautiful as well. I just wonder how they will hold up with all of things people normally do on their counter tops such as slicing and dicing and banging pans around.

You're absolutely correct....I'm going to have to be a bit care with the countertops. I've always used cutting board, so no biggy there, scratches and normal wear will only add to the uniqueness of the bus. If they get too bad over time, it's no big deal to unscrew them and refinish them.

Cool thread and awesome bus. I don't have tools or metal working experience that you have but I am inspired! Picking my bus up next weekend and I can't wait to get started. Watching your videos has given me the courage to consider a roof raise. I knew I wanted more height but was too intimidated to consider it. Can't wait to see more!

Thanks! I'm sure I'll have a lot of them so I'll probably be reaching out.

Ok I've got a question for ya (I know, that didn't take long but this just popped in my head). What's your thoughts on this for the exterior? Can you clear coat bare steel? I know the look would depend on how much rot/rust/patchwork you had. I've seen swirly polished steel in some commercial applications that was sealed. Never mind...I just thought about working around all the rivets ugh! Sorry that's just how my mind works! [emoji15]

Wire brush wheel finish? Or would that damage the rivets?

Sand blast? Sorry. Living in the south I want a heat friendly color. I also can't picture a cool, unique heat friendly color. I like black [emoji849]. I think, if done right, exposed steel could be a cool industrial/zombie apocalypse/mad max look and reflect heat. May not be possible with the type of steel used. I know nothing about metals. Just brainstorming.

Beautiful mosaic work- video sure shows how much work it is- great video work ,as well, very relaxing.

Not a fan of OSB in high moisture area like shower. Saw it was sheeted over with white hardi board or whatever, but hate to see substrate fail/get funky.

Thanks for sharing and keep on keeping !

Sandblasting won't hurt rivets, but man that dust gets everywhere. Aviation stripper might be better choice.

Nice job on the bathroom.

How long did it take? Man there's a lot of pieces....
Lost track of the window of the bus changing from day light to dark, 7 days?

I counted 3 but I only started counting half way thru the video. Hey wait a minute, she's wearing a different shirt.

Would give me an excuse to drive to the beach. Not quite that far south. Few hours away. Not sure how the locals and governing bodies would feel after the tide starts turning to school bus yellow and rust color lol.
