I think there are a lot of clear coated patinas out there. As with applying any primer, paint, or clear; it's all about having a nice clean surface that will accept what is being sprayed, applied, to it. Some like having a slightly rough surface with "tooth" to grab onto, just make sure it's free of anything that could contaminate it and cause it to start lifting.

I love this!!!

I LOVE YOUR WORK!!! Sorry for yelling, but it's awesome! My wife and I have been talking about getting a bus and converting it. I redid a 4x4 camper van and that was nice, but we have two kids and the little bed in the pop top is just too small for them now. So... we sold the beast... Actually whale, she was named Ballena Blanca (white whale in spanish).

My had goes off to you sir! Your attention to detail is much appreciated.
I stumbled accross skoolie.net just 2 days ago and havn't stopped watching your videos untill I just now came to the end... I want more!

Keep up the awesome work!

You did it wrong. Should have sold the kids. I was once offered 50 cent per pound on the hoof. I was greedy and held out for $1. Now I can't get rid of them. It'll cost me to pay someone to take them. Hopefully it's not too late for you.

His buddy buys a bus and he disappears for a month. Who's the Executive Producer, I need to send a nasty-gram.

Just made an assumption; apparently an incorrect one.

I currently dislike the guy. Soon it will be unadulterated hatred. Jk. He makes things look too easy. When I get to the sheet metal cutting and forming I'll be swearing at him. How the hell did he do this free handed?!?!?! I can't get a straight line with an edge for a guide.

He doesn't do much INSIDE the box so when you said storage boxes, I immediately went to shipping containers and him building some 4,000 sq foot house complete with towers or something.

Guess maybe I should stalk him on FB then.

He's probably the best guy in the world and humble as dirt but he doesn't have to make it look that easy. When I get there myself and the corners line up so that you can put a nickel thru it, I'm going to hate him. Especially when the nickel goes thru sideways!! I'd love to have him around even if he was just sitting on his butt drinking beer. Just to have him tell me where I'm screwing up.

When you bought the bus and replaced the front axel and leaf springs... If I had to pay for that to be done, provided that I pay for the part pull... how much would that cost me?

Hey everyone....it's been a very long time since I've visited this site! I just uploaded another video of the roof raise I did in San Francisco recently. Been pretty busy on the road traveling and helping others with their skoolie projects. If any of you would like some help on your project, be it metal fabrication, solar, woodwork, mechanical, interior design... etc. Shoot me an email... muddaearth@yahoo.com I'm in Washington at the moment and getting ready to head South down the coast very soon.

Was beginning to wonder if you had forgotten us common folk now that you're famous.

I could definitely keep you busy!! I'm too cheap to hire you but just out of curiosity, how do you bill? By the hour, by the project? I've been following you on Youtube and it looks like you're doing well enough that you don't have to have a "real" job. Congrats and good for you!!
