Transition?
Am I mistaken or have you not done the transition yet? I'm impressed with your rig for sure and starting my raise in the next month. Acquiring materials now! The transition is making me scratch my head.

I haven't started the transition yet.....Still waiting to get the other side completely in place, then the transition will start. I'll definitely do a video of it though when it happens.

I'm looking for a good alternative to the original entry door. I like the look of the original and want to maintain that look but would like it to open completely as one unit rather than bi-fold. I can modify it to make it swing outward, but my thinking is that this original door is way too heavy and over time will be a problem. Any suggestions or links where I can check out pics?

Most of the factory one piece opening doors use a big piano style hinge on the leading edge. It would be relatively simple to fabricate a door jamb within the original opening. You could use whatever door that fits inside the opening.
You could also do a hidden hinge and custom door setup like I did, but the geometry is a little baffling at first.

Yeah.....I'm thinking I'll definitely have to fab one. I do like the look of original with the glass down low....but may have to change it up a bit. You did a great job fabbing yours, although....I think I want to keep mine just a bit more simple.

You've really done a fantastic job, man, that rear end looks as good as factory.
Another great installment in your series.

I watched your last video but the speakers on my computer are not very good (or it's my ears that are not very good). What was the product you used to fill in the pinholes in your sheet metal exterior.

Is this what I would have called "lacquer putty" 35 years ago when I did bodywork? It sure looks like it.

Yep....I believe it's pretty much the same stuff. Works great for very small pinholes, but anything much larger, it tends to shrink up a bit.

I'm brain storming on different types of insulation to purchase for Transcendence. I originally was considering spray foam, but upon further research, I decided to go another route. I'm considering using 2" polystyrene rigid foam insulation with an R8 value. For those of you that have insulated this way.....How many sheets did it take to do ceiling, floor and walls? What are your thoughts on this?
Here's a link to what I'm thinking about......

IDK but rigid foam is what I've been thinking of using, too.
