I hope you've heard by now. If not, it took my daughter 14 hours before she had cell service back. Finally heard from her tonight.
Sending positive juju!

Yay!!! Glad to hear.
I turned my phone on here in Chicago at the hotel and got the 5 words I'd been waiting to hear since Irma plowed into St. John, USVI last week, "Hey Momma, we are safe", from Cassie.
We had heard she and the kids were okay, but we hadn't heard from HER. Longest week of my life, I swear, to have all the people I love be in the path of this damn storm and I was in Africa with sketchy electric and internet.
I've just woke up (its 4 am, lol) and feel a thousand times better now that all my babies have checked in!
So looking forward to taking WanderLust on our adventure!

So glad they are safe. It would have drove me insane being so far away.
And now....you only have a couple of weeks before your adventure begins[emoji3] I am just downright jealous [emoji6]
I'm a couple months out because of the small leaks I have. I've taken out all of the Windows now (which I never thought I had that ability) and each window gets the once over, caulking, foam everywhere you can imagine and sealed up tight...no water or draft will enter...and there's no longer the ability for water to run in from the top either.
There's no use putting the flooring in until she's dry as a bone.
So anyway, I could go on...lol
Oh happy day! [emoji1]
Please take loads of pics during the get-together [emoji3]

Indeed, Christopher... this really has been the longest 13 days of my life... and being on another continent during all of it, SUCKED... by we've all been very fortunate!
Now to get home (this afternoon, hopefully!) and wrap things up on my bus and get up to that weekend get together!!!
See y'all soon for some much needed fun!

Insanely, difficult! I will post TONS of photos of our weekend! I sure wish you could come, but we will have many more!!!
Taking out windows seems so intimidating to me! So glad mine don't leak, as evidenced by the deluge of rain she just went through with Irma!

It was very scary at first but after you get the first one out, you see that it's not that bad. I'm glad I did because now I can insulate them. Also when I get done there won't be any rattles and no air seepage whatsoever. 6 down, insulated and put back in. only 16 to go.

I'm sure it's something I'll have to face at some point... but WanderLust came through Hurricane Irma with not a single leak from anywhere! I am shocked and happy all at the same time!
Working on her all weekend, as road trip time is T-13 days!!! She's nearly there, Amazon has sent me tons of stuff to put in her (induction stove, the pans to cook on it, the cookware to not scratch that stuff, my rubber scrape the reflectors off wheels and much more!)... it's been like Christmas since I got home yesterday!
I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

I'm gonna have to get one of those doubles. I've been using a single for almost 2 years now -- they're fantastic! They heat up almost instantly.

Tomorrow I'll be scrambling to finish off the one side of the bus windows. Hurricane Jose is coming up North...we're far enough away but we'll be getting the wind and rain.

Thanks!! We pulled out my big ole desk today, instead a kitchen counter next to the fridge. Water is done! Last seating will be built this weekend. 10 days until I hit the road!

Ugh... I hate that we're all so impacted by these storms! My friends in the USVI and PR are about to get slammed with their 2nd Cat 5 hurricane in less than 2 weeks
Good luck getting the windows done! Stay dry!
