I think after all the truck manufacturers said they wouldn't use Cat engines and Cat said, "We'll show you and start building trucks!" See how well they are doing, even you knew about them...oh wait.
P.S. Nice bus.

It was getting too dark today to take a pic inside the bus, maybe tomorrow.
But here a pic of a load ready to go to the scrap yard...
And I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this pile...
Maybe burn it after dark...

So the seats are out...
And the interior panels are starting to come down...
Punching the stems, drilling the heads and then punching the bodies through...
And this was the bonus find after sifting through all of the nastiness of the seat removal...

Yep, that's what I had to do. Drive out the mandrel, drill, punch out the body of the rivet.
Felt like MILLIONS of the little suckers.
Looks like you scored a lot more kids' dropped lunch money than we did.

Please don't burn those seats. I'm not a tree hugger but if you were my neighbor and I saw you torching those seats, I would be calling the fire dept, police dept., EPA, the SWAT team and President Obama.

I'll admit to burning garbage, however I don't have a dump pass. I deceided to throw the seats whole into the back 40 junk pile. I'm going to assume that because your permanent residence is in the country, your R.M. (County?) has a municipal dump you can use if you pay your taxes.
On the other hand, I've burnt plastic crap too, so go ahead!

Well I do live within city limits so I can probably get the garbage truck to take them if I split them up over 4 or 5 weeks...

I took my 1400 lbs of removed seating to the local recycling yard. Got paid a whopping 1˘ per pound!

Depending on how far you had to go, it sounds like you spent more on gas than the seats' steel scrap was worth.
Scrap prices are in the crapper.

Gas? In a DIESEL bus?
It bought lunch. The trip wasn't but a few miles.

Its on the skoolie map... By all means, come on. But its wasteful to drive so far just to dispose of em.
That's why I burn em.

Well that's funny, considering they never had asked whether they were removed or not....
I obviously can provide proof that they have indeed been removed.
Oh well, I don't need insurance anyway, I can't even drive the thing for at least a year and a half!
