Re: the88

I like to spend a little time on the mandolin these days and would love to hook up with some bluegrass people.

As far as what I play, mostly folk songs, I was always into the message and I have a few of my own tunes. From a nice little classical to the big blond jumbo and even a homemade martin from the 1880s shop of the early nineties. Just put on new strings. Bought a saxophone to, but it's hard - --

When we meet on the road, I'll have my guitar with me...

Re: the88

Today, I'll go shopping for material for the roof raising. I figure I'm about three weeks out, but I'll have everything ready so that it can be done and weathered in in fairly short order.
I haven't found other Thomas roof raises anywhere, so I'm following Les Lampman's guidelines and expecting to succeed.
If anyone out there has words of wisdom, I'm open to them.
many photos will follow.

Re: the88

Music is never off topic. If I could, I'd love to sit with you and show you some simple ways to keep yourself amused for hours on the guitar. And the more time you spend amusing yourself playing the guitar, the more you'll play, the better you'll get.

Re: the88

Thank you!
Shelley, my wife, made the videos.
The band broke up a couple months ago, and I'm on to the next thing.
