Re: There and back again... Our future adventure transport.

Home Depot Brandon #243, 9941 E Adamo Dr, Tampa, FL 33619, (813)664-0042 I have no clue if this is close to you (if not change the store), But choose the PEX you want, write down the STORE SKU # and take that in. If they still look blank (which they shouldn't if they work the plumbing dept), tell them to punch the SKU # into their Smart Phone and see what locations it shows (they should be able to tell you the aisle and bay number). Home Depot employees are supposed to know where stuff is in their dept (and other depts as well) or call someone to help you.... Says a Home Depot Bay Integrity Associate (me). When you look online, click in the "IN STORE" button (Product: Online / InStore / All Products). You can also order it online and either have it delivered to your home or pick it up at the store.

PEX fitting are under the name SharkBite and located in the Plumbing Dept (aisles 11 - 15 at store #243 just past the PRO Desk).

Hey Glenn, glad to see you are making some great progress! Plumbing is my next task as well. We really enjoyed meeting y'all by the way. I'm impressed and inspired by what y'all are doing.

Re: There and back again... Our future adventure transport.

We have a Tractor Supply across the river that I visited today. Lots of cool stuff with endless possibilities. I especially liked the thought of using the watering troughs as a bath tub.
They had a little 35 gallon water tank there too that looked promising as a fresh water storage tank. But while there is a threaded spout at the bottom to use for emptying the tank, how will you fill it? Are you going to make a custom cap? Or drill holes in the large top cap? Or drill some other hole for the fill spout? And what will you do for a pump? Enquiring (nosey) minds wanna know.

Re: There and back again... Our future adventure transport.

This is my favorite conversion I have seen yet. Everything looks great, particularly for the fact that it looks very similar to what I have visioned in my own head for our conversion. Love all the fabric and wood!

Great job!

Re: There and back again... Our future adventure transport.

Nice job.Very neat and tidy on the electric and water systems.
I have a question about your water storage tank area. Did you do anything to strengthen the storage bays? I have a Bluebird and the entire length of the bays were only supported in the middle, by 5 5/16th self tapping screws where the doors meet in the middle. Three on one side and two on the other. Strong enough for 20 years of whatever they put in there, but not, in my opinion enough to hold up 1000 lbs of water.

Nice. And you managed to have it NOT look like a sticks-&-staples RV too.

I like the manifold for the LP. We are going to use a similar setup but the tanks (4) will be all hooked up at the same time (4th tank will be shut off to use as a backup).

Congratulations! You have done a supurb job with your project. The fit and finish is beautiful and you have been very creative in your use of space. I'd love to see any of the "during " pics you might have as I am sure would others. Again, congrats!
