Toilet advice

Hi all, we're to the point in our bus conversion where we are getting ready to start building inwards! Bathroom fixtures, cabinets, walls etc. Trying to decide what type of toilet to get. We have been leaning towards a marine toilet over composting or other rv toilets... thoughts/suggestions on type or brand?! What you like or don't like?
(We are going to be living in the bus full time)

The composting toilet has the highest initial cost (about $1K), but the lowest operating costs (i.e. black water). All you have to do is dump dirt with a composting toilet. Black water needs a sewage dump site.

I'm with the Squidman. Composting gets my vote. I purchased mine after chatting with numerous folks who have lived with them for a while ("easy care", "zero smell", etc.). But what really sold me was having owned and dealt with a couple of conventional black/gray tank rigs. Never again with the Poo Pipe drain thing. Plus it significantly extends any existing water supply by not having to flush.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Or you could build your own sweet-ass composting toilet that works just as good for about $103... 3 dollars for a bucket and 100 dollars in wood, venting and fans...yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!!!!!!!

Thanks for the input! We did were kind of resisting the composting toilets but after doing a little more research we decided to go with a composting toilet! It'll be better in the long run for us since we hope to do quite a bit of boondocking. Wish us luck!

I don't know, man. The way this bus hold a fart for 30 minutes I'm not sure I'd want to pinch one off in here.

Robin, if you're THAT gassy, hang your backside out of a convenient window. If birds start falling from the sky.....

No Cap I'm not generally that odoriferous or flammable, and the neighbors are to far away to appreciate the effort of mooning. Just the occasional sneaker during this weather while we highly prize our heat. At the same time it's good that I live alone.
