Re: Transmogrifie and Me

Just checking in. Keep adding more styrofoam. Still feels good to look around and say "This is home". Test this weekend is supposed to get down to 16 degrees. Still using the propane heat. Got a dog so now have a 25lb dog and a 18lb cat in my twin bed, some nights have to actually kick covers off. Empl Christmas party tonight. If 'bonus' covers grandkids presents and any left over I'll get my 'own' refrigerator (Sparky wants this one back already).

I think this would be a good idea once I get the tanks in to fill in spaces. I have a lot of room under the bus, other models have actual storage bins. I'd have to make mine. Let me know how that goes.

One year Anniversary

This week I celebrated my one year anniversary living in the bus with a few close friends.

My one year project, again, has turned into more than that for sure. But I'm happy. Me in the middle, the short one. *g*

Make-shift cabinets for now. Hey.. they were free..

Bus is not travel worthy yet. *sighs* Thinking I can incorporate them somehow.

Re: Transmogrifie and Me

Seems like my project has been slow in going but I think I just got comfortable. Finally got my shower pan so I'll know how big my bathroom will be and where I can fit it. Hate to think that I am sheeting in windows but I think it's a necessity behind walls and cabinets. Darn. Was reading here today on what gauge of metal to use. Measured 56 or 84 inch (covering 2 or 3 window spaces) x 23" tall and want to put a textured glass window in the shower/bathroom (Lorna sent me her pic a while back, mine will probably be solid). Was thinking maybe a solo tube/portal style window in the roof someday. But then again they make RV vents....

Took down the 20' shelf and clothes bar that ran the full length yesterday and some of the brackets and the v-shaped metal covering to the wiring on the driver's side. Big bundle of wires exposed now. including the speaker wires. Made a couple of shorter shelves on either end for temporary kitchen and bedroom but took out the section for the bathroom area. I have too many clothes. Well junk period, took a while to pack the stuff off the shelf.

Read Armageddon's build today, some good points I can use. Funny how some people get so much done in 2 pages and I'm on 31 pages and not so much. So I apologize for my rambles for those who don't approve.

Man is still holding my carpet for when I get the bathroom put in and the wheel wells framed in. Had an idea for tree stump like posts near front entrance.. going to ask same man if he can get me a couple of carpet tubes. Saw a cute idea at a quilt show for adding fabric to look like bark.

My head is still spinning with ideas.. but I have to figure out the sheeting in windows part now and the shower pan framing. Measure twice.... cut once.

Had a real mild winter really.

Well shoot another year and coming up on 2 years in the bus and I can't really say anything new. Bought a RV washer/dryer yesterday that I won't be able to use. Bus is having fuel line issues and won't start. Cold again this winter, was sick and 18 degrees before I got the heat on and my tarantulas both died. Sad.

But all in all I'm still content and good.

This page is all different so I'm not sure I'm posting on my own post or to my old posts... Guess I been gone awhile.

Don't feel bad Bud...I'm 3-1/2 years and counting! Still have a couple of little things to get done, like...install the engine & tranny...put new sheet metal down both sides...build a working steering system...brake system...have not even begun on any form of interior work. So...relatively speaking...you are doing great!
