Very cool but pricey project unit

Just had to pass this along. A '41 International military COE. Super cool unit, but over priced no matter what's been done. But maybe someone could talk a deal. I'd be all over it myself if I weren't so deep into what I already have. Love them COE's!!! And actually, after reading a bit more...maybe not a bad deal at all. All new running gear, engine...and a face only a Mother (or old truck nut) could love.

Tango, what a great find. that would make an awsome conversion. Like you I'd be all over it if I weren't already so far into the '35. Wonder what I'd have to do to get it in my garage?

Hey Trunt --- had a feeling you'd share my enthusiasm for that darlin. What really hurts is that a COE bus or truck was exactly what I started out looking for in the first place! Searched for nearly two years and finally gave up. Dangnabbit! But hey...the Lotto may come through to save the day yet.

And from the looks of it, you would probably need to add an open second story to get it inside. I'm sure your bride would go along...if the add-on included a new bedroom with a massive "hers-only" walk-in closet. Just somethin to think about.

I admit it (head down, voice lowered)...I put a note into the guy to see if would consider a deal minus the engine & tranny. Who knows, maybe there's a way to do something with it. We'll see.

Price reduced, well below cost...... This was a project truck I was turning into an RV. Arthritis in my knees won't allow me to finish it. It was going to be part of the tin-can-tourist network. Check out http://www.tincantourists.com/ 1941 International COE, US Army model AFKX-352 Mobile Repair Shop I installed modern running gear. ie: gm 3500 dually rear axle & front gm disc brakes etc.. 1978 factory rebuilt 350 chev engine with 20k miles. 4 gear transmission with creeper low. New clutch and shocks. Radiator cleaned and tested by McClouds. Rear axle refurbished by Cody Chevrolet. six Decent tires. Rear needs body work. I believe the stove pipe in roof .may have been for a small forge. Shop manual included, I thought is was a 1942 but it turned out the be a 1941. it would be easy just to take a coe and add bus body. several coe's on ebay right now. last coe i had which was a 41 chevy, top speed was 45mph... if i had one now, i would put a 350 and 2 spd rear axle in it.
