If your bus is a 2007 it would have to have a 5 speed.

Not sure. I've driven it around working on it 20-40mph and I'm always listening to see if there are any issues. All winter I swore there were only four forward gears. Summer hit, and suddenly I count 5. Then I look at my shift lever and it says 1-2-3-4-D-N-R and smack myself. Is that 4+OD or 5? I should get under the thing and get a code off the trans so I can know what model I have anyway. DT466e + Allison ?? model. Any guesses?

This is what I thought. If you are just counting the number of times the RPMs drop, one of those will be the torque converter locking.

My Jeep Cherokee has a 4 speed auto and if you count, you’ll hear 4 “shifts.” One of them is just the TC. If you shift manually it will lock as low as 2nd, so between first and second you will get two “shifts.”

Signal Light Rust

Anyone have this problem? How do you prevent it on new light installs?

Led replacement lights

Got these LED lights for the bus. They work on any 2 pin slot socket. I'll post pics when I get it out at night. I replaced all the dome marker lights.

Got these bright reverse lights. What’s the best way to cut a round 4” ish hole in the bus?

I'd break out my trusty fourish inch bi-metal hole-saw and a drill.

Great idea. Just ordered a $11 110mm hole saw. What a weird size.

Why did you order metric when you wanted a 4"?

Since 4" is exactly 102 mm...
Whatcha gonna do?
Must be a kick-a$$ hole saw, if the blade is 8 mm thick!

The light says 4” but if I took the time to read further it says 110mm mounting hole and the whole light is like 125mm.

In that case, it sounds like you're all set to set your new fancy-pants lights.

LiFePO4 12V 100Ah Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery Pack

Anyone have these set up for their solar yet? I'm slowly growing my solar setup and the more research I do the more I'm thinking about scrapping the AGM battery bank and switching to LiFePo4 banks. They have 100X the life cycle at minimum and make almost all the charge capacity available with the limitation of requiring a BMS and a cutoff for temp and charge/drain. When I do the math on life cycle and capacity it's way cheaper to spend more up front and have a battery pack that will last 10 years with superior performance.

LiFePo4 cells

Just got 32 3.2v 8ah LiFePo4 cells. I’m putting 8 in parallel per cell. 4 cells total in series producing 12v and 256ah potential. Each cell can produce 200amp continuous output per battery. Total battery cost $256
