Wheels of Justice

The Wheels of Justice are in town for a few days. So I stopped and talked with them for a few minutes and took some pictures. They are running on BioDiesel but soon are wanting to move fully to WVO because of the cost of the Bio. They seemed to be concerned about the seals, but I told them from the experience on this board nobody has run into problems yet.

Politics aside...

Cool bus, though. I like the body style, and the paint scheme, while not my preference, is well done.

Crown Bus

The bus in question here is a 'CROWN' . They are called the King of pupil transportation or million mile buses. They are double skinned aluminum for the most part and use all big rig running gear. Almost all are mid engine and the rear barn door area is all trunk about 8' wide by 7' deep. They have 10" air brakes. Timeless styling in my opinion. Clean simple and roomy. This bus is very much like my 78 Crown 'FARTHER'

crown bus' are nice. I'm amused by the crazy orientation of the engine. The motor sits on it's side, it's rotated 90 degrees from a standard engine.

they use some DD motors, and some cummins if memory serves me correctly.

The body style didn't change much over the past 20 or 30 years either.

I bid on a couple of crowns on ebay, but they seem to go for a lot more money than i was willing to spend.

They get decent fuel economy too, ~10 mpg+ And some came from the factory with an eaton 10 speed.

I also strongly disagree with the political message of the wheels of justice, but who am i to judge? Different opinions are what makes the world go round.

Crown buses were manufactured in Cali i'm pretty sure. You see a lot of them when you get out west.

Looks like he (ZZ Top) lost a lot of weight.

While looking through their web site I noticed that they either had, or previously had, a Gillig.

I wonder if the Crown is their present vehicle. By the way, I love the color scheme, despise the message and cause.

I think these folks are right on and I and have much respect for them. How can anyone disagree with their mission,if you actually read it ??

The only thing I am not 100% on is their means of acheiving peace. While no one likes war,amd I would very, very much like to believe that violence is never neccesry,I do not know if that is always true.

I would love for them to show me otherwise, and I pray they do....Pix
