And here are the after pics. We attached panelling to the wood we screwed to the wall on top of the chair rail and put a piece the same width running along the floor. Made a chase about 1" thick.

I really like the way you used the chair rail and covered the bottom "dead zone", a good place to run the wiring! That is going into my bookmark file. Leslie

Thanks for all the comments. We appreciate your feedback and encouragement.

We made some progress with lighting and electrical today. These pictures are of the electrical cabinet. I added the control panel to the inverter and two switches for the coach lights, one for the driver side and one for passenger side. Also we finished out the breakers for the 110v and 12v wiring.

Here are some pictures of the lighting which we were able to mostly finish today. I bought the twenty lights (6 singles and 14 doubles) from Class A customs on ebay for about $4 a piece.

Nice! It's really coming together. Thanks for the link to the lights - if I opt for incandescent lighting I'll probably get these. Half the price of any other lights I've seen.

My only concerns would be heat (these 12V bulbs get HOT!) and power draw. I'm planning on flourescants or LED's...though I may have a few of those for short-use lights, like in closets.

Thanks all - We won't be boondocking with this bus so the amp draw was less of a concern than the price and these were cheap. Here are some flooring pics as we are starting to trim out. We trimmed out the steps and insulated under the bunks around the wheel wells.

We put in the bath vent and fan today. I was quickly reminded to cover up my neck and collar when drilling metal above my head. We drilled the four corner holes and then cut in between. It was good to see all that insulation up there.

We also built an upper cabinet today which turned out pretty good. To finish out we need to build the doors and cut the soffit to fit.

Here are some random pictures of our shower door installation and 50A 240V electrical outlet. Our other work is not photo worthy as we are painting cabinet doors and installing corner molding on the panelling.

We used left over insulation in the wheel wells. I believe the stuff over the wheel wells (grey) is 1" foam which is designed to go under a metal roof and the insulation on the flat part (blue) is the same as we used under the flooring which is 1/4" foam designed for metal roof systems.

I probably missed it, but what did you use for flooring? It looks damn good.

Edit: never mind, I found it. Rosin paper, 1/4" foam, 1/4" plywood, about ten-gajillion 1/8" screws, and glued-on vinyl. How do you like it.

So far we really like it. A couple of days the weather was in the low 20's and the floor kept the chill off and there was no condensation (on the floor). It's not bouncy and really level due to the 1/4" underlayment. We laid the floor down first and then the cabinets/couches and there isn't a noticable "dip" with the weight around the furniture. With just north of 1/2" of stuff covering the metal floor - the trim around the doors, steps and elsewhere has been a snap as a standard metal corner molding covers and attaches with ease. I don't think I would change if I were to do it again.

We had a design change. Our microwave wouldn't fit on top of our refridgerator, so we built this upper cabinet to house the microwave. We'll paint it like the rest and put some doors on. There are two plugs next to the fridge, one on the inverter and one just on shore power which can be reached from the cabinet over the fridge.
