I really like that AC/DC distribution panel. Where did you find that?

We got the distribution panel from Best Converter. I also bought my 45 amp charger from them. They were super nice to work with and helped me when I changed from a 30amp to 50amp system. The good thing about this panel is it will do both. When pricing out parts from Napa and Lowes for the box, bus and all the other stuff, this worked out to be a better buy and is much better for our intended use.

Here is the electrical panel with the counter top installed.

The inverter is an Xantrex XM 1000 which was the cheapest inverter with an automatic transfer switch. I think I picked it up for $220 online.

Attached are some trim pics. We used cove mold for the baseboards which match the countertops. We are also caulking a bunch of the cracks which is tinted tan and blends in nicely with the other finish materials.

We also just opened up the area above the driver. We need the cabinet to be 18" deep to house the stereo so we think we can get about extra 5 inches by building the overhead cabinet into this area.

Thanks for the comments Smitty. Unfortunately the list keeps growing. This afternoon we finished up the kitchen upper cabinets and installed the front a/c. Here are some progress pics.

Re: Wildcat Lodge

I really want to add rooftop A/C to my bus, but I am afraid to cut through the roof. How difficult was it to do? Will the seals work well on a curved roof? Maybe I am just being a chicken. I like the safety shield, I should get one of those, too many times I have ended up with a face full of dirt from under the bus or other less desireable things in my eyes.

It's not really that bad. The worst part is lifting the 100 lb unit on the roof. The curve of the roof isn't that big a factor as there is only about a 1/4" of drop from the center of the a/c to the edge. The gasket was more than enough to cover the curve.

Here is a picture of the second a/c going in this morning with a little help from the front bucket on the tractor.

We fabricated doors for the bathroom today when we saw what they were going for at Lowes. They are constructed of 1/4 inch underlayment (left over from our flooring job) glued on both sides of a 5/8 inch wood frame. Hardware from lowes. Will prime and paint. Hook on bathroom side for privacy and hook to the bunks open when not in use.

Since Kentucky is not playing ball tonight, we decided to plug the bus in and see what works. We checked the fridge, it worked, and so we loaded it up. We probably won't get much else done today.

There is no BEER in that photo! There is only carbonated water sold under the name of "light" beer.

Re: Wildcat Lodge

Much of the morning was spent troubleshooting. We filled the fresh water tank and hooked up city water. We had several leaks where the light duty hose clamps from Lowes failed. A quick trip to Napa and some heavy duty clamps solved the problem.

And we finished securing the hot water tank and the fresh tank.

The 5% limo tint orderded from ebay (windowtintingfactory.com is their retail web site) came in and I got most of the passenger side done. This stuff is tedious and 20 year old school bus windows are dirty.

Re: Wildcat Lodge

After 4pm we hooked the team to the wagon and just played. We fabricated this wagon in 2003 starting only with 2 K car axles. The wood is white oak, yellow poplar and sasafras. The team consists of half sisters (Purcheron mother and standard bred father). They came from the Amish at about 13 years old and are now almost 22 or 23 years old. We will put a receiver hitch to the bumber for towing the wagon. We have it wired for trailer lights and it's able to be hooked to a 2" ball.

Tomottow we will start on the area above the driver's seat for the TV and other electronics.

That's right - They also have an ebay store with about 10% discount, but I can't find it now. It is the one from Florida.

The hot water heater is mounted right side up and it has side in and out connections. It can also be mounted on its side to have the connections on the top. It is an 8gal electric only waterheater.

We worked on the upper cabinet yesterday and here are some progress pics.

Here are a couple more upper cabinet pics. The stereo is going into the left cabinet and the TV will mount to the solid space between the openings.
