Thanks guys, I appreciate it. The best part about it is that I got it for free.

Man you are kicking butt!! Good luck to you from another Vet. I am at this time bus-less but I am looking. I'm in MA. Do you mind sharing how/where you bought your bus? Was it a private sale or did you find a dealer in NH?? Thanks, Ted

Thanks, always glad to find other vetsbwith the same interests. It was a private sale that I found online. I used craigslist. Good luck, it's really addicting. I did get set back by the below zero temps for the last 2 months though. Come on spring!

I like your cute little stove. Would look right at home in a small Martha Stewart kitchen.

I scored mine for $10. She needs a paint job. Just not sure what color yet.

Leave it. The color screams "80's pop up camper." ;) Go old school-cover it in state shaped magnets you get at tourist traps.

Haha.. that is one popular stove design! I, too, had one of those in my possession. It was green like Nat's. I also obtained it (and the slightly larger 4-burner one I have currently installed) for free from two camper trailer tear-downs. I gave it away to some off-the-grid friends of mine, but I think the piping was too rusty for them to bother putting it back into service...

Bus project looks good!

That piece of lumber is beautiful. Can't wait to see this kitchen finished. Seems a shame to ruin the paint on that stove to get it back to looking like new—I hope you intend to refinish it to the original color. Very nostalgic.

I'm not sure that I will paint it back to it's original color. I'm painting the kitchen/living area a deep red with white trim. I'm kind of up in the air with a color for the stove. I've never really been good with interior designing haha.

If you really like dark red, I would suggest an off-white or beige as a compliment. Plain white might be an intimidating contrast.

These colors are called Cayenne and Cantaloupe in the Mac OS X color picker:

The stove turned out great! What type of paint did you use on it?

I can't remember the brand. It's a high heat automotive paint. I used a rattle can.
