I'm thinking I just read the thread where things went sideways... looks to me like someone was in a bad mood and took things the wrong way or was just a bit touchy... We've all had those days.

Either way, hope to see both guys back with cool heads as they both seem to be good guys and are very helpful.

There are times when it sucks to be a moderator but at the end of the day, the forum has some basic rules about what kind of messaging and posts are acceptable and when there is a problem the site team steps in.

Skoolie has a free flowing posting vibe and when discussions go sideways the site team steps in to get them back on track but we don't see everything and aren't always successful.

You can help. When you see a problem hit the report post button. This sends a note to a moderator about a possible problem.

The site rules are really pretty simple.

Be nice
Be helpful
Be polite

This is the opening statement of the site rules:
Community Rules

There is no charge for joining this Forum! Please think before you post and keep your comments limited to the topic at hand and above all be nice.

The rest of the rules are in service to this statement - defining what's "nice"

It's OK to have fun and joke around but when topics spiral into trolling and insults they become toxic. Trolling drives off reasonable folks who registered to get some help, make some friends, learn something, etc and frankly it reflects poorly on the Skoolie community.

The details of account actions with those involved will remain private between the site team and the involved parties and we ask that you respect this. This is not only a courtesy to those involved but also an issue where the sites privacy policy is concerned.

Please think before you post. Is your post something you would say face to face with another person? If not, then don't post it. Too often trolling begins because the anonymity of the internet makes it easy to bully, taunt and generally amp others up with few consequences. Insulting others or their opinions is uncool and will kill the forum if unchecked. Where trolls rule, reasonable folks simply stop logging in.

So... please help make Skoolie a better board. Report trouble. Think before you post and have fun - but not at the expense of another person. If you disagree with someone just state your opinion and move on, but don't call them out or insult them. This school yard tactic intended to incite a response is the definition of trolling and uncool.

Thanks for understanding and for helping out other members with great advice and input.
