One of the best conversions we have had here in my 11 years was done by Reprobate in 2007-2008 -- The Bus With No Name, yet.
http://www.skoolie.net/forums/f11/th...-yet-2485.html

He put all his photos in the gallery.
http://www.skoolie.net/gallery/v/Skoolies/reprobate/

But now it looks like the gallery goes back only a couple years. What gives, please?

Give me Photobucket any day... I have photos in there that have been there since 2004 when I created my account.

I believe this is the first picture I posted there....

And the second....

I've been using Photobucket for about that long myself -- 859 pictures now.
But they have been suffering a lot of outages and other problems like difficulty signing in. One recent outage lasted well over 24 hours.
So I'm in the market for a more reliable host.

That said.... I'm trying to assist with a roof-raising on the opposite coast, and photos of well done jobs such as Reprobate's would be very helpful.

I gotcha..... wish I had some albums to point you to..... I'm not looking to do a roof raise so I haven't been looking at those too hard, though I've seen other ideas in those builds that I may use.

I'm hoping Janet or another Moderator can point me to the older galleries. I'm not known for my computer savvy.

From what I remember there was a lot of stuff lost a while back when the forum changed software or something like that.

Wouldn't surprise me.
And I confess to losing a great deal of Stuff in a hard-drive crash some years ago.
The computer I use now has two hard-drives running at the same time, for the day when one of them acts up.
Backups, backups, backups, people!

I am not sure what transpired years ago with images, but do know that last year when we converted the board to vBulletin we rounded up all the images that were available and placed them in member albums. At the time, we found some images that did not seem to be associated with any forum account and so they were placed in this album: http://www.skoolie.net/forums/member...albums561.html

Buying a bus

Hey Guys,

I am new to all this and don't know how to use it but i wanted some advice.

I am buying an American school bus to convert into a food trailer in the UK.

I need a bus that is older than 25 years old as it then does not need to pass test regulations to be used.

Here is a bus i am looking to buy and was wondering if anyone could offer me any advice? 1992 International 3700 School Bus 7.3 Liter Diesel in Mississippi NO RESERVE | eBay

Please and thank you.

Regards,
Sanj

Janet! Great news! Reprobate's photo album has surfaced. I don't know where it hid, but this link takes us there.

http://www.skoolie.net/forums/member...albums320.html

This may be the best conversion ever chronicled on skoolie.net.
It ought to be a Sticky thread.

As always, thanks for all you do for us!

Hello, I am a new member and I submitted my first post to the new members forum and three days later it is still not up. How long should it take or did it get lost?

Thank you!

At certain times of the day the forum moves through threads very quickly. It does seem like someone would have responded though.

Regardless, welcome chickadee020. What kind of bus are you looking for?

You need to choose the "advanced edit" in order to change title.
I see you have it corrected. Should have started with Caps.
Wait, that's another thread titled "First Post"

I've heard Tapatalk pro works. It's only $15.
I'd be more concerned with the aging software that this forum is built on (It was abandoned in 2014).

They did say they wanted to move to newer software (xenforo - still written in PHP) a year ago. so, no telling what's going on now.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
