New user classified posts

I am new here.....but I have noticed an abundance of people that create an account only to post their crazy over priced, rusty bus. If it doesn't bother anyone, that is fine, it is fun to pick them apart.

If however, the forum wanted to minimize these dumpings, I have been on several forums where you couldn't post a classified ad until you have a minimum of 5-10 posts.

Maybe that would push some of these people to poke around a little, and discover that their rusty, AT545 bus isn't worth $10k.....

It does bother some of us.....

There was some discussion here recently to address it.

One though was to enforce a minimum post count before you can post to the classifieds.

Another suggestion was to to create a form for posting ads and have certain fields mandatory.

I'll say this:

I don't mind new user classified ads as long as nobody minds them getting our snarky replies when they're asking triple the market value of their bus. If they don't understand the audience that can't be our problem!

You're way more likely to sell your bus on Facebook marketplace anyway. Posting here is almost a guaranteed waste of time.

Ha, good points....I will sign on for the fun and retract my original question.

My biggest frustration with it is the folks who, as their first post, post an incomplete ad and never come back to answer questions..
