Today I have gotten a new server for the website. Currently the webserver is running on a 450MHz machine and soon will be upgraded to a brand spankin new 1.5GHz machine. This should give the needed power to speed up the gallery and use new features such as the wiki.
I'll get it up and running soon, if you notice you cannot access the website that is the reason and it will be back up soon.
I might post a picture of the server room too. (Looks like an add for Dell with probably 15 Dell servers and a bunch of black box xwalls surrounding them, oh and one Apple xServe with a xServe Raid)
Its on a T1 right now, hopefully something faster once they run new lines out this way.
For security all I am going to say about the server is that it is running Apache2 on a flavor of BSD on a 1.4 GHz 7447 PPC machine. I'm not using Apache's performance cache right now because I think it causes problems with some php scripts (probably because it sticks a new port in the addresses).
How can I tell if my Apache's performance cache is on? What kind of error might I see, sometimes I get complaints about the server stalling I never seen any problems on my end..
Forgot to say thanks in my last post for hosting this msg board its very helpful, once the weather breaks I will have more questions info and pics on my conversion...
Whoa! The man behind the curtain ain't no stinking pretend wizard!!! That's some serious hardware!! Most impressive! And a T1 line! I only dream of such things...
My little brother is on the NetBSD development team. They just built a computer controlled toaster for a conference they went to. He was lobbying for a toaster for the NetBSD logo, but something else won out.
Thanks, again, for hosting this forum! It has truly made a difference in my life. If it hadn't been for this site, I'd probably never have gotten up the nerve to buy a bus.
Hey there, Mission Control, which monitor is tracking the missiles!?!
That's quite a set up! Thanks again for making this playground available! I agree with Eric that Skoolie.net does MUCH for A LOT of people, including myself!

Put port 16080 after your address to see if you are using it, here is an example:
Woah Steve! You're not F-ing around. Thanks again for the upgrade and taking care of this site. I definately wouldn't be as cool without it;) And it's good to know we have some brains back their too.
I just got my skoolie.net stickers from FireArm so I'll be kicking the site some props soon this spring.

I don't know Are you talking about tiger289 or your own site? If you are talking about your own site then your firewall is blocking it or you don't have it turned on.
