Spelling

I was doodling some art work for my project and went back to "SKOOLIE.NET" letter head to see how it was laid out. After looking at it, was wondering why it's written with all upper case except the "e" in SKOOLIe?

Good eye...

Possibilities:
1. A little daffy is fun
2. We don't know how to write (or spell)
3. Erm - what lower case e? I don't see a lower case e. ;)

I will say that the spell check on this site is one of the worst on all the sites I use.

I often use Google's spell check. It works far better.

Maybe the font?

"SKOOLIe," ".NET," and "THE SCHOOL BUS CONVERSION NETWORK" are all in different typefaces. Perhaps the first one does the same thing as the style used in the 1960s' The Bill Cosby Show title text.

Nate: when writing the above I typed "BIll COsby" by mistake (I often let go of the SHIFT key too slowly). The checker here did not offer "Cosby" at all, and only offered "bill" with a lowercase b. Google didn't catch the double-initial capitals in the search engine window (searches aren't case-sensitive anyway), but it might in gmail, which I don't have.

Just a note.

Our site does not have a spell checker.

Spell checking is a function of your browser.

I use Firefox. It has a spell checker so I don't look so stoopid. It told me I misspelled camo.

Ah, I didn't think of that. Also explains why "skoolie" gets flagged as a misspelling!

why not fix? seems like a simple fix.

as a new programmer in HTML my suggestion would just to be:

1. go to Edit>Find and replace.
2. Type e in the find box
3. Type E in the replace box
4. Save
5. Enjoy my laughter of every e in your code being capitalized

Most spell checkers if not all, allow to you add words to the spell checker's dictionary, to prevent the spell checker from flagging those words in the future.

Probably just the font. I like it.
Kind of like the font Insiano also displays the upper case E as a tall lowercase.
