the basics about posting

We are just beginning our conversion and have a bunch of questions. Can someone please tell me the basics of how to ask questions on skoolie.net. It is rather confusing for me and someone telling me how to do it would help. (I'm sure my husband could figure it out but he's under the bus needing information...hehehe). I want to first ask about insulating and I can't even see an option of how to go about asking.

I realize I figured this one out right now, but just random questions is what I mean.

Sighs. Technology is not my strength.

Thanks, Jules.

There are sections set up in these forums for different things.
  1. Insulation
On insulation, some go with sprayed foam. I elected to purchase double-faced rigid foam. It usually comes in 4x8 panels and rests nicely between the chair rail and the wire chase above the windows. Do your insulation first after removing all the seating.
  2. Basic Conversions
This amounts to interior construction. This should be your very last thing. This includes carpeting and laying linoleum or tiles.
  3. Technical Issues
Wiring, heating, plumbing - the things that are comfort issues. I left my rear heaters intact, even though I probably won't use them. These should be installed before insulation. Because I insulated first, I have to work around them. This will also include installation of solar panels.

Welcome to our little(?) group. Plenty of answers and suggestions. You only have to ask.

To go along with what the good Captain said you find the category that your question will fit in (bus conversion, mechanical, etc,) click on that forum and then look in the upper left hand portion on the page that comes up and you should see a (new thread) button click on that button and enter your title an your question. The new thread should then show up in the forum that you chose.
