thumbnails disappearing

The thumbnails in Elf Bus e350 Corbeil II are randomly disappearing. As a result the images are not presented in the actual post.
Interesting enough the photos are there . If you click on the empty spot where a thumbnail was then the photo does appear.

Any reason for this?

I've found attaching pictures works much better late at night.

It is bizar, does anybody else notices their thumbnails / files disappearing and reappearing? Is this stuff spread out over different servers that are not synchronized??
I probably have to start moving everything to a private server / website

It's very frustrating and it's a relatively common subject. Sometimes it works like butter and sometimes it don't. As far as I can tell the problem is usually some kind of security issues with our own computers. I recently had to restore the factory software and everything is working great now with this site. I know how maddening that is. It takes work just to get things posted and somehow they don't stick. I can upload easy late at night if it's not raining.

Yes I can see that some of my own computer settings can do a number on log in / out time with the cookie thing.
That is why I checked with a second line, my cell phone if the thumbnails were there and they were not. When I uploaded more pictures the missing thumbnail came back and were now visible in the thread. Somehow the server must be hanging up, may be I am in a specific damaged section of the hard drive ?? Do not knwo enough about it but saw this now several times.

You've got a handle on it now, but there's still good days and bad days for attaching pics.
