Question 04 Bluebird conversion???

I am looking to buy an 04 Bluebird all american 36 passenger bus. It has a caterpillar 3126 7.2 liter turbo diesel engine. Does anyone out there have one? Can anyone share with me about the Cat engine? Is it a good one? It has about 100,000 miles on it. I am excited to start my second conversion. This one we will take across the country. Our first one is a 1993 GMC Thomas short bus. It turned out awesome. I am hooked and ready to start a new one. Any info about the All American would be appreciated. THANKS

Hi Bill, i think you are on the wrong forum to ask about cat engines. there is a lot of hear say and very little hard information. There are plenty cat engine out there so if it as bad as people like you to believe nobody would buy them. You better google and read some trucker posts who actually have them.

good luck J

They are really good in big trucks, ours gave us way less trouble than the others.

But I've been told the smaller cat motors are not built to the same standard.

I do know parts will cost you more
