3060 Tranny Swap?

Anyone needing to do a swap to a 3060? I found this one near where I'm picking my bus up. Would gladly pick it up and drop it anywhere along my way.

A 3060 for $850 sounds reasonable.

Makes you wonder why they pulled the tranny? Was it from a scrap bus, you would think they would pull the related, needed hardware with it. If it came out of the bus and another one went in, makes you wonder about this one.

Good to know. Some day I'd like to do this conversion on my 1995 pre E engine Int'l. Its either change the differential and keep the MT643 or upgrade to a 6 speed and keep the 4:78's I have now.

you can run a 3060 on a mechanical engine.. you just need a throttle box that will convert the position of your gas pedal into J1939 computer data... this is a fairly common device.. it will have a cable that pulls out.. you make a bracket and attach it to your throttle pedal or throttle linkage. such that when the bus is floored, the cable is pulled out all the way..
