A/C,,, window unit

I Have a a 1995 11 window Bluebird, any suggestions on the A/C, I have a window unit that I use in my garage 10,000 btu will this work on the bus or will I have to buy a special unit. While I'm here does anybody know were I can get a operation manual. I've been to the popular sites but they only go back to 1998. I guess I'm jumping the gun but I'm trying to think of everything at once lol. this head is full. thanks

If you are going to use this kind of ac unit you are either going to have to install a 110 system or use an inverter.

Window units are great but ideally you need to set it up so you can run it off both an inverter with input from the engine alternator as well as 110v shore power. Also, there are high output alternators that can run it directly. Check out how EMT & Fire Trucks are set up.
