Re: ? about controls & steering column

flat nose automatic rear engine diesel with air brakes and air throttle:

conventional style manual front engine gasser with hydraulic brakes and mechanical throttle linkage:

I tried to get a side view and a dead on view of the pedals. Turns out I didn't have any dead on views, so I went and snapped a couple.

When you click through to the viewing page, there's a "download image" link beneath the photo that lets you get a high res version.

If you need one without the watermark, just PM me.

I don't know if this is really what you're looking for, but I hope it is at least of some help.

Re: ? about controls & steering column

With my conventional I can easily operate either pedal with either foot. The flat front buses tend to be more scrunched together with the pedals being a little farther to the left than I prefer, but nearly impossible to get the left foot on due to the nearly vertical steering column.

Re: ? about controls & steering column

Just my personal 2 cents worth, but I wouldn't want my brake pedal on the other side of the steering column, I use the right foot for the accelorator AND the brake in ALL applications. I learned to drive a stick so I'm used to using the right foot for both gas & stopping. My left foot is reserved for a clutch, and if I don't have a clutch then that left foot is used to scratch the right foot!!
