Air Conditioning

I am not talking about opening the door and all the windows, but an air conditioner that can be used in the rain.
For a bus this size http://i8.ebayimg.com/01/i/000/b2/55/4a43_3.JPG is a 13,500 BTU AC unit over kill?

Re: Air Conditioning

I wouldn't call it over kill but you can get by with a slitghly smaller one for that size bus. But with the bigger A/C it will cool down faster. I have a 13500 on mine and my bus is a little bit bigger than one of those cut away vans. If it were me I would go with a 13500 cause it will cool better. Mine also will cool the inside down to 70 to 74 when it is 90+ outside while going down the road. On the down side a honda eu2000i will not run the thing much more than one minute . I use a larger noisy coleman 6250 to run it going down the road. Next spring I might get a second honda and connect two together then I could run it on 2 hondas.

Ooh! I want a little bus like that! I would go ahead and use the 13,500 BTU AC. IT will cool down in a hurry. I use two Honda EU2000i's to run my old 13,500 BTU AC. One of them will run it for a little bit, but will eventually kick off. Where did you find that little bus? I want to get one after I'm done converting my big bus!

Re: Air Conditioning

That little bus is way cool. I been looking to get 4-5 of them and convert my fleet to them instead of using conversion vans. They would make awesome Ice Cream Truck!

Re: Air Conditioning

Well I found the bus on Ebay, I really wanted to get it, but there were too many people with a zero score bidding. The seller just sold it to a Minnesotan instead and since then I have not found the right bus under $1000.
