A word of caution if the RV is an older model... we got a bunch of stuff from an old camper and couldn't use any of it. stuff was rusted through (water heater and furnace) and anything plastic cracked. (Black tank, toilet) Avoid any used plastic stuff if possible unless it was fairly new.

Thank you, it's a 1999. We have a 78 holiday rambler 5th wheel that was nice a few years ago but has since been taken over by critters. I originally was going to gut that for parts but as you say lots of the 40 year old plastic is not as flexible as it as when new.

Yeah, my landlord would definitely go nuclear if I gutted my wife on the premises.

haha, after 40 years my ex-wife didn't hold up well either.

i started with a 90's donor trailer, but nothing ever got transferred over. i decided against using propane, in favor of diesel or electric applicances. that decision made everything useless on the camper. the other parts were to "stick and staple" to make it into the bus. to make it worthwhile you have to use a few of those parts.

I'm still trying to figure out why your landlord would have a conniption about your wife
