Re: Anti vandal lock rear door alarm gets stuck.. ON!
The switch is faulty. Might just need the contacts cleaned. The alarm is to let the driver know if one of the little beasties riding the bus has opened the back door. Somewhere else you mentioned that you wanted to keep the alarm to let you know if the door was opened. They have those. Look for a security door/window alarm (either wired or wireless) or one of those door bells that stores and some homes use to let them know when the door opens. The loud buzzing noise ours made was very irritating mostly to me. If David was up towards the front of the stripped out bus, he couldn't hear it. That's why ours was disconnected and tossed. But we can fairly easily get to our rear door. David says if we have to get out of the back end of the bus in a hurry, he would not be able to crawl out of either of the two emergency windows we kept, nor would he want to. Says he would break something (and not too sure he would fit thru the opening). He would rather crawl over the bed's headboard and out the rear emergency door. Shorter drop to the ground.
