Any tips for removing the floor?

I just removed the seats and emptied the school bus. The floor is next. Its a marble grey color material that looks like thick lino. Under that is 3/4 inch plywood. From what I see under the bus it looks like the floor is nailed down. This floor is going to be tough to remove. I was thinking of taking a skill saw, set the depth, and cutting it into smaller sections. What do you think any tips?

If it IS in fact nailed in, make sure you don't hit any nails with the saw blade, fastest way there is to chew one of those up.

As a level 1 burglar, Bilbo got a pony when he accompanied the level 60 dwarves on the Smaug the Dragon raid. Those powerlevelers probably invited him solely so he could trigger fellowship attacks for them.

I ripped mine out with a crobar, a carjack, and sacrificing my body. I've seen people cut it up with a skillsaw, I think Muddaearth did that on his Transcendence. Much better idea. Smarter, not harder.

I'll second the gloves and (especially) goggles. Don't take chances with your vision.

And yes, you will need a new blade when you get done 30-40 feet of wood scored every foot or so both front-rear and side-side is a lot of linear feet of cutting.

I wonder if that thick grey lino would contain asbestos? Its a 1996 Thomas, so it shouldn't be but it was a thought before I started with a skill saw.

Asbestos was outlawed for the most part back in the 70s so you shouldn't have any issues with that.

I don't think it's used for anything (at least in the US) nowadays.

That reminds me of a story from my dad.

He once knew a doctor that was fitting a guy for a new glass eye after his got broken. He asked the guy how his glass eye got broken and the guy said he was driving cut nails and one flew up into his eye. Then he asked him how he lost his real eye. You guessed it. Driving cut nails...

Hopefully he learned his lesson before he lost his other eye.
