Hello,

Wondering if anyone in Manitoba had found a good mechanic for school busses? I’ve got a 2008 bluebird looking to get inspected and serviced.

I live in manitoba.
I took my school bus to a shop in Swan River. It was a 4 hour drive for me, but worth it.
Inbox me if you want his info.

Hey there. I see it's been a few years since this post was made, and I'm hoping you'll get a notification to see this.....

Questions of you would be so kind....

1 - Did you do the roof raise after you had the bus saftied?
2 - Was there any special certifications needed for MPI?
3 - Does MPI require a sink, toilet, shower and water/waste tanks and propane stove and all that stuff in order to convert the registration of a school bus to an RV?

I may have more questions regarding your build if you wouldn't mind. Planning to start a build of my own within a year.

I know it's been a while. Like others said. Remove everything that says or looks school bus is the safe bet. I removed all my seats but had the bus safetied as an RV. The shop didn't care what it really had. They just treated it as an RV safety.

The MPI broker in town registered it as an RV. Just told them to register it as such and provided the safety paperwork as such. They only warned me don't get caught using it for anything else but an RV or insurance will be denied if in an accident. Otherwise real easy.

Would be cool to see another skoolie on the road for sure in our neck of the woods
