I've been meaning to, most people make them out of PVC. The Oklahoma croud flys blimps, which is really neat.

The better ones I have seen have been this kind where the base is held down under one of your wheels.

I really like that idea !

I need a tall pole for burning man to help evaporate 400 gallons of water. I plan to pump water to the top under about 50psi(0n the ground) and squirt the water out of a small nozzle into a fine mist. If it's 35-50 feet tall in the desert with almost no humidity and the hot sun, i don't think the water will ever get to the ground before it is evaporated.

Just out of curiosity, why do you need to evaporate that much water? Is it you grey water or somthing like that?

Hee hee hee...400 gallons of graywater

I have a feeling this may have something to do with a jacuzzi in the desert, and not wanting to drive home with a bunch o' playa mudwater in the back.

Am I close?

Flag pole or radio antenna basically the same thing. Once we get the roof deck done we are using a linear actuator to raise a 20 pole from the roof. It will most liekly be aluminum but if are CF sponsor comes thru we'll go that route. The kinematics are hard explian in type and without pictures.
