Attaching floor insulation panels question!

Hi I just laid down my floor insulation, I'm basically doing my flooring like Jake C's Project "Brutus" bus

So I have a question for between each styrofoam sheet. Is it okay to use something like tuck tape to hold the styrofoam sheets together before laying the plywood on top, or if I should use something like PL300 Foam Board adhesive?

I couldn't find specifics or pros and cons for this kind of thing.

Thanks in advance

When I want to adhere XPS (extruded polystyrene) boards to each other or to wood, etc., I use 3M™ Insulation 78 Polystyrene Foam Spray Adhesive - 17.9 oz. This adhesive spray does not cause the foam to degrade and it sticks very well. The trick is to spray the foam and the surface being applied to but waiting a few minutes for the adhesive to tack before joining.
