Available Research Resources?

Hi gang! I hope everyone is enjoying this 3rd day of Summer.

Has anyone compiled and published (website, spreadsheet, etc) information on buses built in the last, say, forty or fifty years? Having a list of buses (maybe searchable or sortable) by manufacturer, model, year, class (A,B,C or D) powertrain, body comp (steel, aluminum, ss, etc) length(s), height(s), width(s), interior height(s) belly storage, diff gearing (LSD?), etc.

Suppose I'm looking for a 36', class D (rear) bus with a Cummins, manual tranny, limited slip diff (OTR gearing), 6'6" interior, etc? How do I know if one was ever manufactured in any numbers?

Also, it's very difficult to find much general info on some buses that were built by manufacturers that have gone out of business. Crowns are generally easy to find info on. How about Wayne, Flxible, etc?

Wikipedia and coachbuilt offer great historical data on the companies but are often very short on technical details.

Is this lack of available info just part of the research process?

Thanks!

~Alden

I set myself up for that, didn't I? I'm good at that.

I'd be happy to compile the information. I just don't know where to find it. Even current manufacturers don't have published data on retired models.

Coaches are easy. Skoolies seem to be the bastard children.
