Back corner drain hole?

So washing my bus floor, I realize that water is draining from the back corner of the low side of the bus. It didn't look excessively rusty back there. I can't make out the hole... its more like the panels have a space where they join in the corner. It is behind where the the inner back wall skin was and washing the floor didn't leak back there until I removed the caulk that went around the floor edge. Is it suppose to serve as a drain? I suppose it could make sense and the location would be ideal... Or is this something I need to patch?

It's tough to say without seeing a photo, but if you will be in a mostly dry climate, it would be fine to seal the hole, I would think.

If your bus will be in Ohio in the Winter and hosing-out the bus after the students go home, the drain would be nice.

Is it suppose to serve as a drain? No, The caulk is suppose to serve as a sealer.
