Back from the woods

Went out to my private riding area for some fun time. Used to be I could go to the public riding area, but quad-tards and lack of law enforcement has ruined the place. In '72 my club helped lay out the place, and held a race there every year up until 2 years ago...what can you say when the USFS trails manager only training is artistic painting on scarves? The head ranger is against the race because of the date it is held on {and was held on long before it became MLK day...}

Anyways, worked on framing up the trailhead shelter.



Rode the trails and enjoyed the evening.

NIce property, where is it located? My wife & I have been throwing around the idea of using shipping containers for a cabin for quite some time... can I ask what you paid for yours & to have it delivered?

I live in Charleston SC, my riding area is about 45 minutes away.

The container was bought by one of the club members who has a commercial landscaping business. He got it from a customer of his, worked some kind of deal. We transported it ourselves, lots of heavy equipment and trailers in this crowd!

The container will just be lockable storage for trail tools, maybe a tractor. We framed the porch roof and will tack in a tin roof in a few weeks.

those container cabins are becoming a hit around here.I would like to buy one for my cabin to store stuff in.Im thinking 20 feet is as big as you want to go or you will need 2 cranes to move it.Seen 20 footers used around 2 grand.Fire ban still on here,sure miss that option.Cant even hide in the woods from the hands of the law!

We are +4 inches on rain for the year, so no problem with a campfire. Cant wait to touch off that pile come cooler weather!

Some of our trails are down due to standing water. When you put a lot of time laying out miles of trail, you dont want it chewed to bits by riding it in bad conditions.
