Best online source for rolled steel

I am skinning about 3/4 of the windows on my full size. Can't find anyone local that's easy enough to deal with. I'd like long rolls so I can cover 4-5 windows at a time. Can anyone recommend a good source? Prefer galvanized 16-18ga.

i covered 4 windows with 18g on each side. you just have to find a big enough shop that has a shear that big. 10' covered mine. 160 bucks out the door.

your talking rolled smooth, not rolled up, right?
A long strip to cover several windows at a time will be pricey with shipping by truck.
Individual window size might be not so expensive via ups/fedex, etc.

Have you inquired at your local HVAC contractors that do a lot of duct work?
16/18ga is most likely out of thier every day use. But they should be able to get a good price of 16/18 from their supplier.

I would also advise looking for a sheet metal contractor or fab shop in your area. Their prices may be higher than online, but even if you have to drive an hour or so it will most likely be WAY cheaper than paying freight on enough sheet to skin your bus...

Absolutely. Surely there is a steel yard somewhere in your area. Buy direct.

Also, I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir, but make sure you check craigslist frequently. Every once in a while somebody leaves a big stack of sheet out in the rain and they almost give it away to the first person that will take it...

+1 on HVAC supply house...many different sizes and thicknesses available.
