Black Tank question

So I have my tank and my location all picked out and am having trouble figuring out what fitting I need on the tank itself to attach the dump hose? I basically just need to know what gets installed into the tank to dump it. Thanks in advance

Matt

Re: Black Tank question

my tank has a 3inch spigot, then I have a 3inch rubber frenco, then a pc of abs pipe that goes to the drain.

this is a picture of my old holding tank that cracked, that's why I used a rubber fernco on the new set up, this way the rubber will flex

this is the new tank[URL=http://s1172.photobucket.com/user/gbstewart/media/IMG_08301_zpsa85c7c35.jpg.html][/URL

Re: Black Tank question

GBstewert, Thanks for that information, its exactly what I was looking for. In your bottom picture, the new install, is the contraption with the handle, what keeps the drain closed or is that something you hook up when draining? Sorry for my ignorance, I am just trying to work through all the new info. Thanks

Re: Black Tank question

there called a gate valve,, there's a bunch of different set ups you can get from a rv place, you can have one for grey water and black water, so you drain your black tank frist then grey tank that way your hose is flushed out
