Looks great! But my door hinges in the middle and closes from the front toward the back of the door opening.

Nope. There isn't a lock on it anywhere. Hence my problem.

No. But I am contemplating how to install one there. Door opens in..."single" hinge door - doesn't open in the middle.

It might also fit on the leading edge of the door against the door frame

Like this:

If this is the case, then what DRBW posted IS one solution. What Opus posted is another solution. But, Opus' solution would involve gymnastics when locking the door from the inside for the night.
