This thread has turned out to be a useful resource, but it also contains information that is not exactly useful.

It also turns out that some profesionals contradict each other. I guess this is to be expected as we all think differently.

This discussion has led to what I think is the "best" (?) information regarding the drilling of frames in this thread.

If the holes are no bigger than 3/4 inch, and centered in the flange, your fine.
Welding to the frame is a no no. It will cause the hardened steel to crack.

This information that Nat has presented is beter than I receieved form the profesionals that I talked to beceause he put a number to how big a hole you can make.
Now, can we PLEASE LET THE DOG DIE on the thought that at least I at least was'nt this guy?
